Prof Robert Harris

Until lately, Robert was CEO & Managing Partner of Lakeside Healthcare Group (LHG). LHG is one of the largest primary care ‘Super Practices’ in the NHS. He joined LHG as a partner in 2014 and since that time has grown the business substantially to its current market leading position.
He previously worked in several senior NHS/UK Government roles. He was the first National Director of Strategy for NHS England/National Commissioning Board; Director of Commissioning & Performance (COO) NHS Midlands & East Strategic Health Authority, with geographic patient responsibility for over 25% of the NHS; and the first National Policy Director at Monitor, the Independent Regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts.
Robert has worked as Senior Healthcare Advisor to a number of overseas governments as well as serving as a non-executive director of a number of healthcare and health/medical technology business. For several years he was Visiting Professor of Healthcare Strategy at Cass Business School.
Robert is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment and the Royal Society of Arts. He was educated at University of Oxford (Law); University of Bristol (Politics & Economics); Columbia University Business School (Finance); and Yale University, School of Public Health.

Robert is a fellow of the RSA and the CISI and holds an undergraduate degree in Las from the University of Oxford, a graduate degree in Politics & Economics from the University of Bristol, and post graduate degrees in International Finance & Banking from Columbia University and Medicine & Public Health from Yale University.
