Avi Lasarow is a distinguished serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of founding, scaling, and successfully exiting multiple ventures in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.
He currently serves as a Special Advisor to the B20 Digital Transformation Task Force, where he contributes to shaping G20 policy on digital transformation, cyber, AI, and health inclusion.
Avi is a former founding member of the UK Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Health Council and previously served on the CBI Global Competitiveness Committee, helping influence national and global business strategy across health and trade. He also sat on the NHS Diagnostic Innovation Advisory Board, guiding the integration of advanced diagnostics into national policy frameworks.

Over his career, Avi has founded, scaled, and exited several major ventures:
Trimega Laboratories, a specialist drug and alcohol testing company, was sold to Close Brothers Corporate Finance in 2012 for $10 million USD.
DNAfit, a leading consumer genetic testing company, saw a partial exit to Prenetics for $10 million USD in 2018, with Avi retaining equity in the business leading up to Prenetics’ listing on NASDAQ.
As CEO of Prenetics EMEA, Avi scaled operations from 30 to over 700 staff in under two years, generating $150 million USD in UK revenue, while delivering national pandemic programmes. The company listed on NASDAQ in May 2022, valued at $1.2 billion.
Avi holds the distinction of being the youngest-ever Honorary Consul appointed for South Africa to the United Kingdom, where he worked to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of the South African Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
His work has earned several high-level accolades, including two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise (2018) and a Board of Trade Award from the UK Department for International Trade.
